Breathe California Central Coast's 4th annual Clean Air Awards will focus on positive initiatives that are being taken to reduce global warming and air pollution. Winners will be recognized at the Clean Air Awards Reception in Monterey.

California Assemblymember Mark Stone will deliver the Keynote Address: "Environmental Protection in the California Legislature for 2014." KUSP Radio Producer Kelly O'Brian will act as Emcee.

The deadline for Clean Air Awards Nominations
is 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 25th.

California is particularly vulnerable to the impacts of air pollution and warmer temperatures. Increased temperatures caused by global warming will exacerbate air pollution, increasing the rates of asthma, respiratory and other lung related ailments. It's important to acknowledge the important work that is being done to combat climate change and reduce air pollution in the business, governmental, educational and non-profit sectors. Our 2014 awards will recognize some of those who are leading the way in these important efforts.
